IN THE CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY OF OUR REPUBLIC FREE ZONES WORKSHOP WAS HELD

In partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and SEBKİDER, which was established with the membership of 19 free zones in Turkey, the "Free Zones Workshop on the Centennial of our Republic" was held in Antalya to determine the role and strategic vision of free zones in Turkey's economy in the coming period.
The opening of the Workshop held in Antalya between 16-18 February was attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Mustafa Tuzcu, Free Zones General Manager Emel Emirlioğlu, SEBKİDER Chairman of the Board of Directors Yusuf Kılınç, SEBKİDER High Advisory Board members Kemal Şahin and Ali Avcı, bureaucrats of the Ministry of Commerce and 19 The managers of the free zone attended.
In the workshop; It was announced that free zones, with a total trade volume of approximately 31 billion dollars and exports approaching 13 billion dollars in 2023, have become Turkey's production, employment and export bases with high added value. It is stated that our regions will be an important driver of economic growth and foreign trade in Turkey's second century. It was stated that in order to continue its mission as a power, it needs solutions that will keep up with the changing world with more public-private sector cooperation, common sense, and meet and even exceed the expectations of investors.
At the workshop, a consensus was reached on the SWOT analysis report, which included the strengths and aspects of free zones that could be improved, opportunities and threats, and to create an action plan accordingly.
It was stated that the use of high technology, digital and green transformation studies are among the priority targets of free zones, and the aim of promoting free zones in the international arena more effectively and attracting more foreign investments to our country is among the priorities of free zones in the coming period.
It was underlined that the results obtained from the workshop will make a significant contribution to the road map of the free zones, which will enter its fortieth year.
